Empowering Telecommunications Technicians and Industry Leaders
Rebuild the Backbone. Raise the Standard.
The American Telecommunications Guild (ATG) is a national workforce and standards institution built to restore safety, competency, and accountability in U.S. telecommunications infrastructure.
America is investing billions in broadband and wireless infrastructure — yet the workforce and contracting systems that build it remain fragmented, opaque, and unsafe.
ATG exists to change that, without unions, without bureaucracy, and without disrupting healthy carrier–contractor relationships.

Our Programs
WHY THIS MATTERS
Telecommunications infrastructure underpins
emergency services, commerce, healthcare, and national security.
Yet today:
Workers are often undertrained or misclassified
Safety standards vary wildly by subcontract tier
Accountability disappears when something goes wrong
ATG exists because infrastructure that matters cannot be built by systems that don’t.

Our Initiatives
What The Guild Does
Workforce Standards & Certification
Empowering Minds
National, role-specific credentials for telecom workers — with zero tuition burden on workers.
Safety & Compliance Enforcement
Promoting Workplace Safety
Real safety authority, site audits, and stop-work enforcement aligned with OSHA, FCC, and NTIA expectations.
Overflow Workforce Management
Empowering the Workforce
ATG supports carriers and GCs only when capacity is strained — managing overflow work without replacing existing relationships.
Transparency & Accountability
Empowering the Workforce
Clear records of who builds, who is certified, and who is accountable — especially on publicly funded projects.
Our Mission
Who We Are
The American Telecommunications Guild (ATG)
is an independent, nonprofit,
guild-style organization
formed by field technicians,
contractors, and industry leaders.
We are not a union.
We are not a turf vendor.
We are not a staffing firm.
ATG is a standards and accountability institution —
designed to ensure that the people who build America’s digital backbone
are properly trained, properly protected, and properly accountable.

The Petition
Raise the standard. Rebuild the backbone.
We are calling on policymakers, carriers, contractors, and workforce leaders to formally recognize enforceable workforce standards and transparent contracting in U.S. telecommunications infrastructure.
This petition is not symbolic. It is the foundation for regulatory recognition, funding alignment, and industry reform.
